The Paleo Diet and Real Food

by admin

The food industry has changed so much in the last several decades. I often wonder how different it will be when my children are grown up and raising their own families. I am worried that my children and their children will not know what real food is. I doubt that very many people today even know what real food is. It is important that my children learn about real food. Many people have asked what makes this food different from the food at the grocery store. They would ask, “Well, isn’t all food real?” The answer is no. Real food means that it is all natural and organic. It has no hormones, no additives and no preservatives. It comes from the Earth or from the animals, as food should. This food also has not undergone any hormone injections or been genetically modified.

One example that is real food is the Paleo diet. In fact, I am searching for Paleo Diet Recipes as we speak. This diet uses only pasture-fed meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, legumes, and fruits. Several nutritionists and researchers have adapted this nutritional concept over the years. Now, it is my chance to try this diet with my family. I hope that they enjoy the meals I cook them this weekend. I plan on making a Paleo diet recipe for each meal. I found recipes to prepare that look wonderfully delicious and I doubt my family will even realize that the foods are nutritious and healthy. My children have become picky eaters and have developed favorites, but I am sure with these recipes they will have new favorites. On the menu for this weekend are muffins, a chicken pot roast, chicken nuggets, a sausage dish and several recipes using vegetables like squash and sweet potatoes. The best surprise I have in store for them though is a recipe for nutritious chocolate chip cookies.
